Optical illusions can be caused by a wide variety of effects. They are interesting, because, when we look at them, they trick our eyes into seeing something that isn’t there, even though we know that it doesn’t exist. At times, it can serve to amuse us but there are also cases in which an optical illusion can put us in harm’s way. It really depends on the circumstances surrounding the situation when you see the illusion.
This optical illusion is unique, and quite interesting. It was created by Kokichi Sugihara from a Japanese university. As the roof on the garage changes position, it appears to change from a corrugated roof to a round roof in the mirror. This type of illusion not only affects the eyes, it also involves the brain. In essence, it is a visual and mathematical illusion in which the image does not convey depth information.
It doesn’t matter how many times you look at it, this optical illusion will continue to fool you. Not only is this possible on a scale model garage, it can also exist if you do it at full scale as well. Watch the video and you will see it for yourself.
