Optical Illusion Art By Oleg Shupliak

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of art? Many of us think about a painting that may be hanging in a museum or perhaps we think about a sculpture. In either case, it is the work of somebody’s hand and the talent that exists in their mind and body that allows them to create it. There are also some unique artists that may just have a surprise or two up their sleeve.

Oleg Shupliak is a Ukrainian artist that created a rather unique series of “two in one” paintings that are actually optical illusions. As your perspective of the painting changes, so does what you see in front of you. At first, they appear to be three dimensional paintings but as the perspective changes, you actually see the face of a famous individual merging into view. It is something that will trick your eyes every time.

Today, it would be somewhat easy for an individual to create these types of images using computer programs but this artist uses no digital methods for his creations. All of the original works, regardless of whether they are pen drawings or done with oil on canvas were created by him and not by a computer.
